1-е Послание к фессалоникийцам

Глава 1

1 Павел и Силуан и Тимофей церкви Фессалоникийцев в Боге Отце и Господе Иисусе Христе, — благодать вам и мир.

2 Благодарим Бога всегда о всех вас, вспоминая вас в молитвах наших, непрестанно

3 помня ваше дело веры и труд любви и терпение надежды на Господа нашего Иисуса Христа пред Богом и Отцом нашим,

4 зная, братья, возлюбленные Богом, избрание ваше:

5 что Евангелие наше не было у вас только в слове, но было и в силе и в Духе Святом и великой уверенности; вы также знаете, какими мы были между вами для вас.

6 И вы стали подражателями нам и Господу, приняв слово в скорби великой с радостью Духа Святого,

7 так что вы стали примером для всех верующих в Македонии и в Ахаии.

8 Ибо от вас прозвучало слово Господне не только в Македонии и в Ахаии; но вера ваша в Бога проникла повсюду, так что нет нам нужды о чём-либо говорить.

9 Ибо сами они о нас возвещают, каков был наш к вам вход и как вы обратились к Богу от идолов, чтобы служить Богу живому и истинному,

10 и ожидать Сына Его с небес, Которого Он воздвиг из мёртвых, Иисуса, избавляющего нас от грядущего гнева.

1 Thessalonians

Chapter 1

1 PAUL, and Sil-va'nus, and Ti-mo'theus, unto the church of the Thes-salo'ni- ans which is in God the Father and in our LORD Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you and peace, from God our Father, and the LORD Jesus Christ.

2 We give thanks to God always for you all, remembering you continually in our prayers;

3 Mentioning before God the Father the works of your faith and the labor of your love, and the patience of your hope in our LORD Jesus Christ.

4 For we know that you are the elected ones, my brethren, and beloved of God.

5 For our preaching to you was not in words only, but also in power, and with the Holy Spirit, and with sincere assurance; and you know also how we lived among you for your sakes.

6 And you became followers of us, and of our LORD, for you welcomed the word with much tribulation and with joy of the Holy Spirit:

7 Thus you have become examples to all the believers in Mac-e-do'ni-a and A-cha'ia.

8 Not only have you sounded out the word of our LORD in Mac-e-do'ni-a and A-cha'ia but also, in every place your faith in God has been heard so that we need not speak anything about you.

9 For these people themselves relate how we entered first among you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God;

10 To wait for his Son from heaven, even Jesus, whom he raised from the dead, for it is he who will deliver us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians

Chapter 1

1 Павел и Силуан и Тимофей церкви Фессалоникийцев в Боге Отце и Господе Иисусе Христе, — благодать вам и мир.

1 PAUL, and Sil-va'nus, and Ti-mo'theus, unto the church of the Thes-salo'ni- ans which is in God the Father and in our LORD Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you and peace, from God our Father, and the LORD Jesus Christ.

2 Благодарим Бога всегда о всех вас, вспоминая вас в молитвах наших, непрестанно

2 We give thanks to God always for you all, remembering you continually in our prayers;

3 помня ваше дело веры и труд любви и терпение надежды на Господа нашего Иисуса Христа пред Богом и Отцом нашим,

3 Mentioning before God the Father the works of your faith and the labor of your love, and the patience of your hope in our LORD Jesus Christ.

4 зная, братья, возлюбленные Богом, избрание ваше:

4 For we know that you are the elected ones, my brethren, and beloved of God.

5 что Евангелие наше не было у вас только в слове, но было и в силе и в Духе Святом и великой уверенности; вы также знаете, какими мы были между вами для вас.

5 For our preaching to you was not in words only, but also in power, and with the Holy Spirit, and with sincere assurance; and you know also how we lived among you for your sakes.

6 И вы стали подражателями нам и Господу, приняв слово в скорби великой с радостью Духа Святого,

6 And you became followers of us, and of our LORD, for you welcomed the word with much tribulation and with joy of the Holy Spirit:

7 так что вы стали примером для всех верующих в Македонии и в Ахаии.

7 Thus you have become examples to all the believers in Mac-e-do'ni-a and A-cha'ia.

8 Ибо от вас прозвучало слово Господне не только в Македонии и в Ахаии; но вера ваша в Бога проникла повсюду, так что нет нам нужды о чём-либо говорить.

8 Not only have you sounded out the word of our LORD in Mac-e-do'ni-a and A-cha'ia but also, in every place your faith in God has been heard so that we need not speak anything about you.

9 Ибо сами они о нас возвещают, каков был наш к вам вход и как вы обратились к Богу от идолов, чтобы служить Богу живому и истинному,

9 For these people themselves relate how we entered first among you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God;

10 и ожидать Сына Его с небес, Которого Он воздвиг из мёртвых, Иисуса, избавляющего нас от грядущего гнева.

10 To wait for his Son from heaven, even Jesus, whom he raised from the dead, for it is he who will deliver us from the wrath to come.
